Personal Space

Sometimes, a person doesn't want to be alone but to be left alone. There is a difference. When somebody asks to be left alone for sometime, one should be given that time. If one is asking for no disturbance, one should not be disturbed. It can be periodical or often or rare depending on person to person. It happens when We don't want to answers calls, don't wish to get buzzed on messengers, hide in the corner of our rooms or sit at a secluded place in classrooms or go might be on stairs in offices or just sit quietly wherever we are for a while because it's totally fine. It is perfectly ok. We, at times are in a need to understand and be understood. understand : that whatever it is, it's going to be fine and being understood : by those who keep on asking what happened ?

We've seen Dexter's Laboratory, it was a hugely spread lab within a small house. I never saw it as a lab, for me it was like his personal space. His own created space and not just a lab ;  space where he was what he wanted to be and that soothed his mind - his favorite place to be. That was a cartoon but we can have this space in our minds where we can talk to ourselves, think of things we want , introspect and be the way we want to be and simply to relax. Introspection can be dangerous , mind you. When you search in your mind and dig for the answers you might realize things that can break you. For instance, how it was your fault at places where you blamed it all on someone else and now you know how mean you were and just can't do anything without it but regret. All these things add to more confusion and a break down .

Personal space is important at:

Work place- for people might now want to share everything with everyone and be judged.

In a relationship - because a calm mind settles things well than an infuriated impulsive brain.

From friends - because anyone can hurt anyone and one so taking a step back for sometime might give a break.

At parties - for not everyone enjoys such loud music and people around them and they're probably at the venue under family or peer pressure

So basically from anyone and anywhere!!!

A person might be tangled in personal problems in his mind or just couldn't understand things around him or just not feeling better . Anyone asking for a break/ space/ time shall be given that. The person will get back to you better only.

CHAI BISKOOT

Life is like a cup of tea, it's all about how you make it !

Tea is something most of the Indian mothers stop their children from having saying that they'll get dark if they have it. So when those children grow, they get to understand what magic-potion were exactly they deprived of all those years. No matter how much a person runs from Tea he'll surely get in a habit of having it. One never says coffee-pakoda or coffee-samosa or dips biscuits in their coffee. Tea stands different. It is so bad when something so awesome gets cold- human after death and TEA !

If I talk about my favorite part of tea, it's dipping biskoot (biscuits) in it. It is so awesome. I really don't care what kind of biscuit I am having - cream, crunchy salty, jam, choco-chip or any....I WILL DIP IT. Often the biscuit breaks and goes into the cup but the other half is there to take it out. If the other half as well goes, another piece comes to the rescue.  It's just so much fun. One can't simply have tea alone. The Classic combination of chai with biskoot is unbeatable. Dipping the biscuits make biscuits and well as the tea more tasty. Even jeera biscuits will do (if the jeera doesn't get separated and floats in the cup. It's ewww..!)

The two most preferred biscuits are Marie and Parle G. Marie doesn't go inside completely and Parle G never comes out complete. Such sad thing. No love story is perfect anyway.

What CHAKHNAA is to DAARU,
Biscuit is to the Tea.
Cheers !!!

Don't Waste Food

Remember the time we used to pray before having our lunch during recess?  That was so right. Even if we were told by our teachers to do this, at least we were in a habit of thanking to the almighty for giving us something others are dying for. As we grow, the prayers are forgotten. The thanks disappear in thanklessness. We don’t eat when we are sad, or frustrated or stressed or simply because we don’t like a certain dish. We often take the lunch boxes packed home because we didn’t like what mom sent. Moms also throw the food thinking that it’s become slate and we should not eat it. While this is done somebody somewhere is praying for food, somebody is dying of hunger.

When you don’t like your food, give it to somebody who needs it. There are beggars, hungry children, poor old people or even stray animals. You can give your lunch to the needy and then have whatever you feel like because you’ve got the resources that can buy you what you wish to pamper your belly with.

Ever since I’ve seen these kinds of images, I’ve become more sensitive to this topic. We all know about how worse is the food and nutrition condition in some parts of the world. W can’t go there and feed there and feed them but the least and the best we can do is stop wasting our food.

Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat. Think of all the times you are so damn hungry and badly starving but you got no food or for some reason you can’t have your food. Give us anything in such situation and it will taste better than Ambrosia. When you are just about to spoil or waste food, just think of the times you desperately wished for a meal.

Holding in your pee

As per my knowledge the adult bladder can hold as much as half a litre of pee before the real need to “go”. Most of us have this great control on our bladder that we can hold in so much of susu for so long. Not willing to go to public toilets is one reason, some avoid for long as they might be busy in some serious stuff or they are just feeling lazy to leave the couch.

I have seen my fellows going to the washroom when I’ve already made some  trips. I do not believe in so much control. When we are told to have a lot of water in a day, not holding on to your pee should also be told. No matter how badly in need of sleep I am or I have to wake up during a chilly winter night when I am all wrapped in the blanket, I would still go and relax myself. The sleep is now anytime better than I was already having. It’s just too awesome when all that stored urine is out of the body. The comfort is so good.

Some girls control so much that now they’ve made it a habit (I am talking of the women because men don’t care at all. If they feel the need, they’ll do it anywhere but they will just not control. While releasing ‘anywhere’ is worse, not controlling is good!). While you are holding it, you are subjecting yourself to quite long term infection.

-       Constantly holding on can weaken your bladder muscles which eventually loses its ability to completely let go the pee from the body. It leads to water retention and the whole time you feel like peeing a lot.

-       Holding on to excessively longer time can also exposes your body to those harmful bacteria that can cause bladder infections. There are many other similar problems which we don’t realize but that might happen if we stick to holding on. Even Elsa from Frozen sings “let it go” (pee-J !!).

ECHOES : A restaurant with specially challenged staff

Yesterday I visited this small cafe in satyaniketan (Delhi) called ECHOES. This is like any other small cafe with an unusually amazing initiative. When asked the attendants about the table of our choice, they tried explaining with signs. After seeing the repeated sign language by 2 waiters, things became understood. The staff is differently abled. All of them could not hear or speak.

The staff handed the menu (the ECHOnomics is the backside of it) and a pen-pad on which we can mention the dish code, quantity & any customization.

This switch is near every table. When you need to call to get attanded, you just press it and the bulb of your table number will flash on the counter.

These are the tags which are present in the tissue box. A tag to ask for the bill, to ask for fork/knife, to ask for menu or just a thank you. Simple one liners.

Talking about the place: it's very small.
Area : south campus, opposite venkateshwar college
price : economical
Quantity : very decent . more towards good.
quality : hygienic , good presentation and taste

P.S : This not an act of promoting the cafe but its appreciation. I am not writing because i am asked to or I will get something from them, but because I want to spread the good thought. This is one live example of corporate social responsibility (for students' reference )

A DAY WITHOUT MAKE-UP

Concealers, foundation, blushers and all the stuff you use everyday to get a second skin. It is good to look great and flawless but have you ever thought that your skin needs to breathe too ??

Makeup layers can hide your marks and give you an even tone skin. BUT, no makeup can make you as beautiful as you really are. Overdoing makeup everyday will HIDEYOU. You’ll look no new than everyday. Hence, no looking special. Actually, there is nothing wrong in wearing makeup, but  a “makeup free” time could give us a day to focus on who we are inside, rather than hiding behind the mask we normally put on during our daily beauty routines.

-Of course moisturizer and body lotion is important but not the makeup. Just a kohl/eye liner and a lip shade can give you a perfect pretty look.

- Use accessories for hair, ears and hands and get more colorful and attractive. Every part of your body needs to get the same importance as your face.

- Do NOT worry if you have pimple marks.  You need not cover your marks and scars everytime.

- focus more on your hairstyle. No matter how pretty your face looks, if hair is not done properly, you’ll give a silly look.

- if your eyes are beautiful, focus more on them. Apply kohl or eye liners (winged shape may be) to make them more attractive.

- Never forget to wear a smile. It’s the most beautiful part of you especially if you get dimples

- Do NOT get jealous. Jealously can give you pimples, tension, inferiority complex, a above all A CRUEL FACE that you would never like to have.

- Drink a lot of water to get a glow. Most of us do not have adequate water. Even if you don’t need it, believe me you need it!

Every woman is beautiful if she believes. Eat healthy, do well, and feel pretty.
Makeup is not the solution. It is NOT permanent, do NOT get used to it.
Promise your skin to keep it as natural as it is, as longer as you can

Love yourself !!!! <3
