Don't Waste Food

Remember the time we used to pray before having our lunch during recess?  That was so right. Even if we were told by our teachers to do this, at least we were in a habit of thanking to the almighty for giving us something others are dying for. As we grow, the prayers are forgotten. The thanks disappear in thanklessness. We don’t eat when we are sad, or frustrated or stressed or simply because we don’t like a certain dish. We often take the lunch boxes packed home because we didn’t like what mom sent. Moms also throw the food thinking that it’s become slate and we should not eat it. While this is done somebody somewhere is praying for food, somebody is dying of hunger.

When you don’t like your food, give it to somebody who needs it. There are beggars, hungry children, poor old people or even stray animals. You can give your lunch to the needy and then have whatever you feel like because you’ve got the resources that can buy you what you wish to pamper your belly with.

Ever since I’ve seen these kinds of images, I’ve become more sensitive to this topic. We all know about how worse is the food and nutrition condition in some parts of the world. W can’t go there and feed there and feed them but the least and the best we can do is stop wasting our food.

Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat. Think of all the times you are so damn hungry and badly starving but you got no food or for some reason you can’t have your food. Give us anything in such situation and it will taste better than Ambrosia. When you are just about to spoil or waste food, just think of the times you desperately wished for a meal.
